Education for Poor & Homeless

In today’s world, it is more important than ever to ensure that children in developing countries have access to a good quality education system.

Education is the only solution for the humanity to prosper. With an aim to help every child to get education, New Day Hope Trust Pakistan has taken lead among all its competitors by providing education through free schooling and rehabilitation support to the poor and needy children. New Day Hope Trust Pakistan helpful undertakings encircle all matters and issues related to education in Pakistan. Without any discrimination, we provide equal opportunities to all talented and deserving students across the country. Male and female students are equal in ratio in the beneficiaries list of our education programs as we are pursuing the goal of 100 percent literacy rate in Pakistan.

New Day Hope Trust Pakistan has built an unfathomable system of schools, both in urban, and in country zones, giving quality instruction that keep tabs on improving youngsters’ intelligent capabilities.

Food for Poor & Homeless

The New Hope Day Trust partners with local communities to help stop Pakistan hunger.

We need to ensure that people on low incomes or in insecure work have enough to live on. The introduction of a national living wage is a great start, but more can be done for those in low paid work and unable to work. We need to listen to the experiences of people facing hunger and poverty, and work to find solutions to this problem.

Over one million three-day food supplies given out by our foodbanks every year is one million too many. This must not become the new normal. Reducing Pakistan hunger will require a collective effort from the voluntary sector, Government, businesses and the public, and The New Hope Day Trust is keen to work with all these groups to find solutions that stop so many people needing foodbanks in future.

Discourage Child Labor

Child Labor Protection in Pakistan

Child labor in Pakistan is the employment of children for work in Pakistan, leading to mental, physical, moral and social harm to children. The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan estimated in the 1990s that 11 million children were working in the country, half of those under the age of ten. In 1996, the median age for a child entering the work force was seven, down from eight years old 2 years prior. It was estimated that one quarter of the country’s work force was made up of child laborers. In a city of Pakistan, Hyderabad children enter work force at the of age 4 or 5 years and they make bangles and bracelets. They make around 12 sets (per set containing 65 bangles) and only gain Rs.40 from all the hard work.It depends on the time consumed in completing these sets it could take as long as 2 or 3 days and they would gain only Rs.40 in 2 or 3 days. This is not just a situation of Hyderabad but all other katchi abadis of Pakistan.
New Day Hope Trust is an non-government welfare organization also working on children labor . The aim of the organization is to create a society that is self-aware, violence free and accepting of itself and others.

NDHT Life Skills Based Education (LSBE) program is a comprehensive curriculum, which introduces critical reproductive health information and management skills in line with the emerging capacity of children and adolescents.

In an environment where young people are not provided with timely information regarding their body, health and well being, our LSBE program supports young people in accessing such information in a safe environment. Starting from the early primary school years, NDHT programs focus on body protection and child sexual abuse (CSA) prevention and critical skills in communicating discomfort and mistreatment. Building on this momentum, negotiation and conflict resolution skills are introduced to students in their middle school years, along with information on changes in the body during puberty and awareness about harassment and sexual abuse. As young people become more mature in their thinking, reproductive health topics such as HIV/AIDS, peer pressure, rights within the nikah nama, positive health seeking behaviors and the importance of planning a family are introduced and explored. The LSBE curriculum has a strong emphasis on exploring issues of gender and power as these are key concepts, which determine from an early age, reproductive health outcomes.
